It is a common but false belief to say that you are healthy just because you have no symptoms. Actually being healthy and symptom free are not the same thing; and alternatively, just because you have symptoms, it doesn't mean you are sick.
Someone suddenly experiences a heart attack! It's the first time they have that symptom but were they healthy while they still had so symptoms? Same is true for Diabetes type 2; it doesn't suddenly show up. A person has to have been unwell for a decade before they were diagnosed with Diabetes or heart disease.
On the other hand... take the immune system for example. If you have symptoms it shows that your immune system is taking on an environmental challenge. But does it mean that just because you have symptoms you are sick? If you begin to take drugs though you make yourself sick! This is probably making you wonder if you may have things upside down and in many ways, you probably do.
If one only focuses on health when you start to have symptoms, then only focus on making those symptoms go away, thinking erroneously that you have restored your health - you are sadly mistaken.
I propose instead that you focus all the time on health, not ignoring or forgetting about your health until you lose it. This applies to how you preserve, maintain and enhance your immune system. It requires daily attention to proper rest / sleep, stress management, proper fitness and proper nutrition.
